This is my life. It is non-fiction. Diary entries have been slightly changed/adapted and I have added more detail to make the senes more intersting (and add to the word count.)
Usually this is not how I write - I don't know everything beforehand and most the time my characters surprise me. The twists blow my mind as much as the next reader. My life has been this way but it's a little different, writing about things that already happened and I know exactly how I'm going to write out the last few months. What I DON'T know, however, is the turns this month will take. I will be writing my novel as my life story plays out.
There have been some bumps and uncertian areas with my family. It is real and has caught me completely off gaurd, as I'm hoping my novel will for my readers.
This is the first entry of my novel. It tells what my expectations were and breifly how the summer played out. Enjoy.

So here we go, another summer flew by, and I’m counting down from one week until school starts. These three months weren’t exactly wasted, I spent more time outside, I baked, got into good personal habits (including working out) took a couple trips and within the first month of vacation I got *this* close to being official with the guy.
I’m duel-enrolling with IDVA and KHS this year. It will be the first time I ever step into a public school building to take the classes. So, being Mormon AND homeschooled will basically label me as “weird” and “innocent.” I’m going to try not to announce it for the first 2-3 days. That’ll give me time to (try to) make a good impression and get some friends started. Here’s my schedule:
In IDVA I’m taking Algebra II, American Lit, and Spanish II. KHS starts three days before my online classes open up so it’ll give me a nice ease-in. I might move my work-out till after lunch. Or choose one part in the morning. I’m going to read scriptures in the morning, and write just before bed time (which shouldn’t be later than ten.)
We already went supply shopping at Shopco last week and organized our stuff into the cupboards (or, as I like to call them, “lockers”). It was pretty annoying with the kids running around and saying: “I want this” “I need this” “I’ve wanted this my whole life” “This is so cool!” -_- I tried not to be like that and stay *mostly* on task.
I’m going back there next week to get a poster I saw. It’s of a guitar with the word music in bold letters on the top. There’s a bunch of other words around the poster that finish a sentence, like, “keeps my heart beating,” “says all the things I’m to scared to say,” “makes me tap my toes” etc. I love music (mostly country) so I thought it would fit my personality. Not to mention I have more than enough room for it, considering there’s a whole light green wall next to my closet. It’s just so boring… like, it’s just… there…
I also found some cork boards and Sadie and each got one for our room. After our eye appointments this morning, I found some sort of wall-Velcro so we won’t have to put holes in the wall.
